University of Portland, like many other higher-ed institutions is seeing a decline in enrollment. Our team was tasked with creating a new knock-out piece geared towards Gen X/Millennial parents and Gen Z students to introduce everything UP has to offer and (hopefully) get them to apply.

With a focus on student stories and a section specifically designed for students in mind, the Viewbook meets the students and parents where they’re at— we give students a glimpse at life on campus and what UP is really like, while providing parents the nitty-gritty details they care most about.

Alumni Reunion 2023
UP’s annual summer bash, Reunion, encourages Alumni of all ages and life-stages to come relive their college glory days.

After COVID, alumni engagement at UP was suffering. The Alumni team wanted to refresh the look + feel of their annual Reunion event to encourage alumni to dust off their party shoes and come back to campus, happy and healthy.

We created a renewed brand campaign strategy that fosters feelings of nostalgia, trustworthiness, and most importantly, fun. The look + feel appeal to every audience— folks who graduated over 50 years ago, COVID-grads, and everyone in between.

PilotsGive 2023
The biggest development event of the year: PilotsGive, a 48-hour fundraiser and celebration of all things UP.

The PilotsGive brand was lacking and hadn’t evolved since its hiatus during COVID. I was tasked with rebranding the entire event with the goal of increasing small donations and participation from donors at all levels: students, parents, and alumni.

We settled on a concept that really drives home the idea that each donation goes a long way to helping a student and each donation, however small, adds up. Thus, “Together We All Add Up” was created. The visuals are engaging, playful, and easy for campus partners to take + run with. The event was a huge success, surpassing the goal of 1,000 donors and ultimately raising more than $500,000.
